One NGO’s society asked me to determine the author and copyrights for a graphic sign that this organization has been using for several years for visual identification. It turned out that this innocent willow twig is an element of the logo of many other organizations, at least six, whose names are visible in the picture next to it. In my opinion graphic design is the creation of original visual messages addressed to specific social groups for specific purposes. Creating a logo is about looking for a synthetic graphic sign that helps you better understand the organization.
How did this modest willow branch become a symbol of the activity of such different entities: a church, a coffee shop, a fashion store, a neighborhood house? Which one do you think fits best? Probably not to everyone!?
